Chi Tran is an award-winning Vietnamese director, writer, producer and colorist, having directed the social drama short WATER OUTAGE and documentary GOODBYE MOM. He currently majors in Media-Communications and minors in BEMT and Legal Studies at New York University. He is working on his thesis, VISA (2024), and pitching features such as AAPI drama comedy CARPOOL and social drama horror THE CURRICULUM.
He has worked in development and production at Apple TV+, CJ ENM and Blumhouse Productions, having teamed on award-winning projects such as CODA, PACHINKO and MAI. He has also written and developed many scripts currently in various stages of production, including the Vietnamese remake of EXTREME JOB, and an upcoming CJ ENM anthology horror .
He is an experienced editor and colorist, having colored 20 different projects of various budgets and scope, including a 2-minute excerpt from PARASITE.
He also runs a film-reviewing website, The Take, created when he was 11.
